County Kildare 5th September 2021


This is the scene of a two vehicle RTC involving a lorry and a car on the M9 Motorway on Sunday 5th September between junctions 3 and 4 Northbound which led to the Motorway been closed for a time.

The lorry overturned which also led to a fire. Fire Crews from Athy (County Kildare) and Carlow Town (County Carlow), Senior Offciers, National Ambulance Service and Gardai all attended the scene. Both drivers were taken to hospital. ~Emergency Times

Waterford Fire Crews responded to a person's reported RTC Sunday morning 15th August shortly after 9.00 a.m. The collision happened on the N24 Waterford to Limerick road just after Mooncoin, County Kilkenny. Road was closed for a short time until full clean up had taken place. Fire Crews from Waterford City responded to an RTC (road traffic collision) Monday afternoon 2nd August near Mooncoin. Thankfully no serious injuries to report. The road was closed for a short time until a full clean up had taken place.

Diesel and oils spills present an extra hazard to motorists after the incident has taken place. Spills need to be dealt with immediately to prevent  further spread. Our Alpha 1 is using a Road bio detergent to effectively remove oil from the roadside. ~Waterford Fire Service FB

Scene of a HGV RTC on the M7 Motorway between Jct 9 (Naas North) & Jct 8 (Johnstown) on Sunday 16th May. A milk tanker crashed and crossed over to the opposite carrigeway. Traffic was down to two lanes in each direction as emergency services cleared the crash site. Driver not seriously injured.
