Earlier this week a QQI accredited recruit Firefighter skills course commenced in Foynes Fire Station, County Limerick with Firefighter Recruits from Limerick, Clare, Carlow, Wexford & Waterford. Over the next 3 weeks they will learn the essentials for going “on the run” when they return to their home station

On Wednesday 27th April 43 Recruits from Dublin Fire Brigade, Louth County Council Fire & Rescue & Limerick Fire & Rescue Service passedout at the OBI Training Centre in Dublin after 14weeks of Training
Drill 1: Rescue with TTL, 13.5m and 10.5m ladders including extra water Drill 2: RTC (Additional Training with Thanks to Dublin Bus & Irish Rail for additional training) Drill 3: BA, Fire and Rescue. The GPO is burning! (Additional Aircraft fire training by Dublin Airport Fire Service) Drill 4: Hazmat and decontamination. On Tuesday 15th April 25 New Recruits to the Dublin Fire Brigade passed out at the OBI in Dublin having successfully completed their training. Galway, Waterford & Wexford Recruits 2014
On Friday 7th March 6 NEW Recruits had their passing out parade in Clifden Fire Station County Galway. The New Recruits will be joining Galway, Waterford & Wexford Fire & Rescue Service's.
